Green Apple School Program - A Metro Initiative

An idea today keeps the waste away

The Green Apple School Program is a Metro initiative created to encourage conservation and healthy living. Metro has invested $1 million into the program, and beginning this Fall, will provide hundreds of $1,000 grants to primary and secondary schools with big ideas for green projects in their communities.

The deadline to submit an idea is March 1, 2010 by mid-night. If your school has a green project in mind, like tree planting or a zero-waste lunch, submit it today. Applications will not be received after the March 1, 2010 deadline.

Get your school involved in the Green Apple School Program today and make a difference in your community.
